Went to have my eye checked at Lakeland Optical as I had an issue. Lisa the optician was so thorough and suspected I had a superior retinal tear and vitreous haemorrhage so she immediately referred me to Furness General Hospital. It was after 5pm but the consultant was waiting for me. He looked at it and said I need treatment immediately. Without delay he administered laser surgery to repair my retina. Although shell shocked I would like to thank Lisa at Lakeland Optical, the NHS & Barrow Hospital for their amazingly quick & kind response & treatment especially on its 70th Birthday.

Love My New Glasses
I chose a pair of the colourful, Austrian, JVG frames which I'd spotted in your window. They are simply stunning and I get so many compliments about them. Thank you for having such a choice of frames - I may be back for a second pair !!!

Love Lakeland Optical
Just moved into the area and we needed a new optician. Called in to register at Lakeland Optical and we were booked in the same week. Really thorough examination and very friendly people. We are delighted with our new glasses and would definitely recommend to anyone. Much better than our last experience with one of the larger opticians - we were truly looked after!

Referred For My Cataracts
Lisa was able to see that my cataracts had worsened and I was surprised to find I was only just over the legal driving standard. Lisa promptly referred me there and then to the NHS eye clinic. I'd always though cataracts were a skin that grew over your eye - but I learnt exactly what they were - and was even shown a model of a %3Fgiants eye%3F!!!!!

High Blood Pressure Detected!
I'd noticed my vision in one eye had deteriorated, and thought I was simply ready for new glasses. Lisa spotted a problem at the back of my eye and I was referred immediately on to see my GP - who confirmed I had very high blood pressure. Many Thanks.
